Well I learned something today, biking home from work in the rain is pretty fun. Biking to work in the rain.. is also pretty fun.

Standing for 5 hours in wet jeans.. not so fun

But I haven't caught pneumonia so I guess I'll live ^^

Here I am, alive and in Florida.. poo. ::chuckle::

Just thought I'd make that note. Hm.. I have alot of work to do. Getting a job, getting a car, getting a place to live.. since I sure as heck don't intend to spend all my time here. There's just something.. not right.. about living with J's family. If it was just J, that'd be a different story.

And it's not really even an issue of my interactions with them.. they've been nice to me. There's just something wrong about being here.. it doesn't feel like it's where I'm supposed to be. Need to move out to my own place, maybe try dragging J. with me. ::grin:: In the meantime.. I plan to go invade Chris's private space tomorrow. ::chuckle:: And I have to work on how I'm going to get up to Jacksonville for KinSouth. And if possible, dragging Chris with me there.

We'll see...

So yet another friend is going far away.. Doesn't it suck when you don't find out how much you like hanging out with a person until they move to the other side of the nation? u.u

well here's some good news [for me] anyway. strange thing happend when I got home from work on sunday.. I came in dropped my bag reached to turn my computer on... and it wasn't there. There was a shiny new iMac on my desk. My sister's boyfriend has been raining joyful electronic presents from the sky again whee!

and... before any of you say anything I AM NOT A MADAME! And I am not whoring out my sister for prizes so just you keep your pie hole shut!! >^.^<

Kind of surprised you invited me. Almost not sure what to make of it, really... but I'm grateful, none the less. I'd rather not lose contact with the person who, though manages to piss me off disturbingly often lately, has been my confidant of choice for more than a year. I'd hate that, and it's frustrated me what's gone on between us recently...

Well, this is it. The last day I'll be spending in New Jersey. It's going to be spent mostly packing up all my things into the attic, or to take with me. (So far, all I've really done is pull things out of drawers and closets, and off of shelves--now comes the actual packing of what I'll be taking with me, and leaving behind for storage.) Other than that, once the day's actually begun, I'm going to call DOTS (Daytona-Orlando Transport Service) and make that reservation for a shuttle from the airport in Orlando to the college (Embry Riddle Aeronautical University) in Daytona Beach. I still can't believe it's going to cost me over $20.

Oddly enough, I can believe that I'm going to Florida. Everybody's looking at me and expecting all sorts of excitement, and fear, and clinging feelings of attachment for the home I've lived in so long, and to the people I'm leaving behind. But I don't. Which isn't to say I don't care--I care about the people who won't be with me dearly. But I know this is what I'm supposed to do. I know it's going to be a great new step in the adventure of my life. That everything's going to be alright. And in that right, I am excited. But I'm not afraid, and although perhaps a bit nostalgic, I have no.. reservations about making this move. This is how things are supposed to be.

And I'm glad for that. Glad that things will be moving in such a bright direction. For how strongly I feel things will be.

For the first time ever, I welcome the future.

You know, I had once made an I Ching reading program a couple years ago, out of sheer boredom. (Plus, I wanted to do readings for myself.) A friend of mine just tonight (or this morning) asked me if he could have that program, which I'd not thought of in ages. (I have actual coins now--yay me!) So, I sent it to him.. and then decided to upgrade it.

Not that I've actually done much with it so far. Just made a better interface, and started with completely fresh programming. (Originally, the random number generation was rather crude--now, it's more true to the actual coin-toss method of I Ching divination.) Next, I plan on working to add actual information so those of you not familiar with the I Ching can find out just what the hell your hexagrams mean. (^*^)
